OVERVIEW:

Coccoid-shaped bacterium that produces butyrate. Butyricicoccus pullicaecorum gen. nov., sp. nov., an anaerobic, butyrate-producing bacterium isolated from the caecal content of a broiler chicken. Int. J. Syst. Evol. Microbiol., 2008, 58, 2799-2802.
