This name has not been validly published and exists only as a GenBank entry. The isolate was reportedly recovered from petroleum sludge, but since its sequences is greater than 99.5% similar to that for Haemophilus parainfluenzae, HOT-718, it probably represents a human oral contaminant and not an environmental isolate. Unfortunately, most clone sequences from the oral cavity have greater sequence similarity with that from 'T. aromaticivorans', AB098612, than for the type strain of H. parainfluenzae. All organisms identified by BLASTN analysis as 'T. aromaticivorans' should be identified as H. parainfluenzae HOT-718.Identified as a constituent of the oral microbiome by Human Oral Microbiome Database. |
