Amygdalin


Amygdalin is a poisonous cyanogenic glycoside found in many plants, but most notably in seeds of apricot, bitter almonds, apple, peach, and plum. Amygdalin is hydrolyzed by intestinal enzymes, and in small quantities, exhibit expectorant, sedative, and digestive properties.
