2′-Fucosyllactose

2′-Fucosyllactose is an oligosaccharide, It is the most prevalent human milk oligosaccharide (HMO), making up about 30% of all HMOs. It is regarded for its ability to protect against infectious diseases, namely in preventing epithelial level adhesions of toxins and pathogens. It stimulates the growth of certain Bifidobacteria and receptor analogons, which leads to toxic and pathogenic protection, all of this being most prevalent in infants. Mostly, it is known to protect against Campylobacter jejuni, Salmonella enterica, Helicobacter pylori, among others.
