Catecholamines

Included among catecholamines are epinephrine (adrenaline), norepinephrine, and dopamine. Catecholamines are derived from the amino acid tyrosine, which is derived from dietary sources as well as synthesis from phenylalanine. Norepinephrine and other catecholamines can also facilitate the removal of iron from Lf and can supply it for bacterial growth.
