Putrescine

Putrescine is a foul-smelling organic chemical compound that is related to cadaverine and is produced by the breakdown of amino acids. Along with cadaverine, putrescine is largely responsible for the foul odor of putrefying flesh, but also contributes to the odor of such processes as bad breath and bacterial vaginosis.
